Fürstin-Margaretha-Weg

Wandering through the former Duchy of Arenberg.

The circular hike "In the footsteps of Princess Margaretha" with wonderful views leads through almost untouched valleys and mountain ranges of the Eifel. From Wershofen you have a fantastic view of the unmistakable Aremberg. The tower of the once imposing fortifications, built around 1854 from the surrounding rubble and wall remains, rises up in Aremberg today.

The route can also be completed in two stages via a short connection.

Line 899 WanderBus Oberes Ahrtal (RVK) Blankenheim - Altenahr

From 29 March to 28 July 2024, the WanderBus Oberes Ahrtal (line 899) will be running on all weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as well as on public holidays and bridging days. It connects the towns of Altenahr and Blankenheim as well as the railway station in Blankenheim-Wald three times uphill and twice downhill respectively. From the start and end points, there are connections to the DB railway lines or the rail replacement service in the direction of Cologne and Bonn.
