Or how about a guided tour of the reconstruction after the flood, for example? An absolute must when travelling to the Ahr Valley is a visit to the Dokumentationsstätte Regierungsbunker, a unique national testimony to the Cold War and once the most secret building of the Bonn Republic. With a knowledgeable tour guide, your group can experience the fascinating views on the Rotweinwanderweg and expand their knowledge of viticulture over a glass of wine.

The devastating flood in July 2021 caused great destruction in the Ahr Valley. Dokumentationsstätte Regierungsbunker (Government Bunker Documentation Centre)
An approximately 200 metre-long section of the former "temporary headquarters of the constitutional bodies of the Federal Republic of Germany" in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler is open to the public as a museum of the Cold War.

Classified - SECRET
For decades, the government bunker was sealed off from the public, its doors locked and its contents secret. Since the opening of the Dokumentationsstätte Regierungsbunker, the former state secret has been revealed, but only 203 of the former 17,300 metres can be visited. This tour takes you to areas of the museum section that have never been shown before. We take a look behind the gates and doors and enter a still secret underground world.

Top Secret - Top Spy
How secret was the government bunker really and what did the other side know? This guided tour is all about the secrecy of the government bunker. For the participants, this means paying close attention, because at the end you have to solve questions without which you will not qualify as a top spy.

Guided tour of the Roemervilla Museum
In 1980, an archaeological sensation was discovered during construction work in the Ahr Valley: the Roemervilla, a Roman manor house from the 1st century. As some of the walls reach up to window height, visitors can walk through Roman rooms and experience what life was like back then. The almost completely preserved frescoes on the ceilings and walls as well as the underfloor heating are particularly impressive.

Costume tour in the Roemervilla Museum
The lady of the house invites you to a very special tour of the house, which promises a journey back in time to the Ahr valley almost 2000 years ago. Using ancient artefacts and a variety of antique everyday objects to touch and try out, the lady of the house will tell you stories about everyday life in the Roman province and bring it back to life.

Secret wine tasting
Visit the "Dokumentationsstätte Regierungsbunker", a section of what was once the most secret building in the Federal Republic of Germany above Ahrweiler. After a guided tour of the bunker, you will hike with a winemaker from the Dagernova winegrowers' cooperative along the Rotweinwanderweg to Dernau. You will experience the diversity of the Ahr Valley during a 5-wine tasting with a champagne reception at the Dagernova Weinmanufaktur.

SoloVinoHike
The Peter Kriechel winery welcomes you to the SoloVinoWanderung. During a short tour of the cellar and winery, you will learn interesting facts about working as a winemaker in the Ahr Valley. Behind the scenes
Take a look behind the scenes of a modern wine factory and learn more about viticulture in the Ahr valley, the production of our wines and the history of our region. From the meeting point we walk to the grape reception in Dernau. Experience the Kräuterberg for connoisseurs

The historical wine tasting
This 4-person wine tasting in the historic cellar vaults of the Mayschoss-Altenahr winegrowers' co-operative with a guided tour of the small wine museum gives you an insight into the history of the oldest winegrowers' co-operative in the world and into modern winemaking.

Group wine tastings:
With its 500 hectares of vineyards, the Ahr wine-growing region is a paradise for Pinot Noir. It feels particularly at home on the steep vineyard terraces in the narrow valley. But it is not only the red wine from the Ahr that is in demand. In addition to excellent Rieslings and Pinot Blancs, the Ahr has created another new trademark: the Blanc de Noir, a Pinot Noir pressed in white. Get to know and love the Ahr wine in a special atmosphere directly from the winegrower. Depending on the scope, a 6-person wine tasting lasts approx. 2.5 to 3 hours. Guided mystery hike
Just a normal tourist and now a prime suspect! Be part of the group of investigators on your guided hike or be one of the suspects. Let your criminal instincts run free during a wine break. A bottle of wine will be raffled off among all successful investigators.

Reconstruction in the Ahr Valley - Be part of it!
After the flood disaster in 2021, reconstruction has now really got going. On our guided tour along the Ahr in Altenahr, we will show you the most interesting places and provide you with lots of information. There will be time for reflection during a wine break.

Geocaching
A little adventure for everyone. Travelling with the latest technology, the aim is to solve the puzzles and tasks together or in small groups. Team spirit and a little talent for improvisation are required. The challenge is organised according to your ideas. It can be organised as a leisurely hike or with lots of action. No foot has to stay dry! Every participant is challenged at the stations, whether thinker, practitioner, technician or athlete - everyone can contribute to the solution.

Adventure course (in the Bad Neuenahr forest climbing park)
The adventure course consists of numerous challenges: Eight courses from green (very easy) to black (very difficult). Including: one of the longest zip lines in Germany - 450 metres of pure flying fun!

Altitude metres (in the Bad Neuenahr forest climbing park)
After the briefing, your personal guide will take you to the forest climbing park. This is where things get really sporty and the guides have some tricky additional tasks for you. You should bring four hours of time, a sporting spirit and some courage. Instructions, professional guidance, animations and team tasks await you not only at height, but also on the ground.

Crime hike with a dog
A murder mystery hike as a shared experience with your dogs - follow clues, secure evidence, guess puzzles and combine clues correctly: The exciting criminal case can only be solved as a team! During a guided hike, there are tasks to complete at various stations, sometimes with the help of canine skills, sometimes the human detectives can prove their abilities. Any dog can take part, no previous knowledge required.

Tours with your dog
During a guided walk along the Ahr, through the vineyards or in one of the beautiful wooded areas around Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, we will incorporate small tasks for your dogs along the way. The focus is always on having fun, and the level of difficulty of the exercises is customised for the participants.

Experience- & team-orientated cooking event
This form of cooking differs from the classic cookery course in many ways. The location is not a typical kitchen, but a beautiful, rustic hut in the middle of the vineyards. You work in teams to prepare the starter, salad, main course and dessert. Another team takes care of the decoration "and all the trimmings". An "AhrTours assistant chef" is on hand to help and give tips on the preparation.

Eifel distillery P.J. Schütz
