Where could Ahr wine taste better than directly at the winery? What could be nicer after a hike than stopping off at a rustic wine tavern? Enjoying a glass of Pinot Noir or Blanc de Noir in the middle of the vineyards and seeing where the grapes grow - that's what makes a visit to the Ahr Valley so special.
In addition to wine taverns, some of which are open all year round, you will also find wine taverns that only offer small dishes and their own wines at certain times of the year - usually during the grape harvest. Hikers' huts also offer you a hearty snack at particularly beautiful vantage points in the countryside. The opening times depend on the season, usually at weekends.
