The gateway to the Ahr valley
Together with the district of Bad Bodendorf, the town of Sinzig forms the gateway to the Ahr Valley. The Ahr estuary is the only river estuary in Germany that still flows almost naturally into the Rhine. A stroll through the town centre of Sinzig is also worthwhile: numerous small shops and cafés invite you to shop and linger.
Favourite place: Sinzig Castle
The picturesque castle park, which was lovingly designed by Josef August Lenné, borders on the neo-Gothic castle, which now houses the local history museum and registry office.
