The biggest advantage is the free use of all buses and trains in the entire area of the Rhine-Moselle transport association and thus also in the entire district of Ahrweiler. The Ahrtalcard or the guest card can be used as a ticket. The offer is valid from the time the card is issued on arrival at your accommodation until your departure. Please note that every person must carry an Ahrtalcard or guest card in order to be able to use the bus and train free of charge.

Roemervilla Museum
In 1980, an archaeological sensation was discovered during construction work in the Ahr Valley: the Roemervilla, a Roman manor house from the 1st century. As some of the walls reach up to
window height, visitors can walk through Roman rooms and experience what life was like back then. The painted barrel vault and the almost completely preserved frescoes on the ceilings are particularly impressive

Dokumentationsstätte Regierungsbunker (Government Bunker Documentation Centre)

The section of the former "temporary headquarters of the constitutional bodies of the Federal Republic of Germany" is now a museum of the Cold War and is open to the public. Extensive documentation and original artefacts provide information about this period of German history. It was the most secret building in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany and its planning dates back to 1950.

Arp Museum Rolandseck

The Walporzheim winegrowers' cooperative, founded in 1871, merged with the Mayschoß-Altenahr eG winegrowers' cooperative in September 2009 and has since been called Weinmanufaktur Walporzheim. The community of both winegrowers' cooperatives now comprises over 400 members and cultivates a vineyard area of more than 140 hectares. Weinmanufaktur Walporzheim invites you to a commented 3-person wine tasting. The wine tasting takes place every Tuesday from the beginning of April to the end of October at 3 pm.
