Dernau offers a wide range of opportunities to experience the regional flair and wine culture of the Ahr Valley at any time of year. Dernau is dominated by the Krausberg with the Krausberg Tower, which offers a panoramic view of the valley. Directly on the Rotweinwanderweg, in the Marienthal district, the "Weingut Kloster Marienthal" offers an exceptional flair as a wine tavern and event venue within centuries-old monastery walls.
Favourite place: the Krausberg tower
The Krausberg tower, which towers high above Dernau, offers a marvellous view of the village and the vineyards. On a clear day, you can even see the spires of Cologne Cathedral. If the white flag is flying on the tower, the Eifelverein hut on the Krausberg is open.
