Since 1925, the Eifel distillery P.J. Schütz in Grafschaft-Lantershofen has been producing fine herbal spirits and fruit liqueurs based on natural raw materials. The family-run company is best known for its "Eifelgeist", an elixir made from 42 hand-picked herbs, roots and flowers, the recipe for which was developed over 90 years ago. The herb chamber with over 100 medicinal plants still forms the centrepiece of the distillery today. The range has been expanded over the years to include other high-quality spirits.
International awards and honours - including the Federal Prize of Honour, titles such as "Germany Distillery of the Year" or "World-Class Distillery" - underline the high quality standards.
