One card for the whole region

 

The AhrtalCard is your ticket to the whole world of the Ahr Valley. It not only gives you numerous discounts, but also a public transport ticket for the entire region. The AhrtalCard works like a guest card for anyone staying overnight outside the town of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler or simply visiting the Ahr Valley as a day guest without an overnight stay.

You can get your AhrtalCard at the tourist information centres in Bad Neuenahr and Ahrweiler. Adults pay 6.90 euros per day and young people up to the age of 17 pay 5.40 euros. Children under the age of 6 even get the AhrtalCard for free.

When is the AhrtalCard valid?
You determine the period of validity. At the Tourist Information Centre you can specify the days for which you would like to have the AhrtalCard. For participating hosts, it is valid for the duration of your stay.

Is the AhrtalCard transferable?
Your personalised AhrtalCard is not transferable. Only you personally may use the benefits of the card during your stay.

Where can I get the AhrtalCard?
For the time being, the AhrtalCard is only available at the Tourist Information Centre in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler. However, it will soon also be available from participating hosts and accommodation providers.

Is there anything else to consider?
Please always carry the AhrtalCard with you during your stay - as well as a valid photo ID.
Please note that the AhrtalCard can be used once during your stay with individual partners.

What conditions of use apply to VRM bus & train services?
The VRM guest ticket is only valid on public transport operated by the Rhine-Moselle Transport Association (VRM) in 2nd class trains and not on IC or ICE trains.
The VRM guest ticket is only valid when fully completed. Bicycles can be carried free of charge from 9 a.m. on weekdays and all day on Sundays and public holidays.

Are certain groups exempt from paying the guest fee?
