Redesign of the Bad Neuenahr Spa gardens
New centre of culture and healing water experience in the heart of the spa town
For more than ten years, the municipal committees have been discussing the "New spa park property" project. After numerous and comprehensive decision-making processes in recent years, an overall architectural design for the new building complex has been produced that combines modern Bauhaus style with listed heritage and also enables a symbiosis of Spa gardens and building ensemble. The flood brought the project to a standstill until it was resumed in May 2022.
The investment volume for the new building is around 26.2 million euros. State subsidies, which secure a large part of the financing, have already been approved by both the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The funding decision was handed over in February 2024. Completion of the building is planned for summer 2026.
