The landscape from the Ehlinger Lay to Altenahr is characterised by viticulture. To the left and right of the Ahr are some of the steepest vineyards, which produce excellent red wines as well as other popular wine varieties. In addition to numerous large and small wineries, there are also three winegrowers' co-operatives on the Ahr. They all invite you to taste the precious Ahr wines on site, learn about the production of the wines, look over their shoulders as they work in the vineyard and take your favourite wine home with you.
