The picturesque wine landscape of the Ahr Valley invites wine lovers to a special

a special experience: The open wine tasting for everyone in the wine village of

Altenahr offers the opportunity, every Thursday from May to October, to savour the

enjoy the beauty and flavour of the region to the full. The

event always starts at 3 pm and lasts around 2 1/2 hours.

 

The tour starts with a fascinating guided tour of the renowned

renowned "Altenahrer Übigberg" vineyard. It is the westernmost vineyard in the

vineyard in the Ahr valley and is known for its first-class wines, which grow here on

slate rock. Participants can be enchanted by the idyllic

enchanted by the idyllic landscape and gain exciting insights into the viticulture

of this unique region. A special highlight of the tour is the

spectacular view of the historic Are Castle, which towers majestically over the valley

participants can enjoy a tasting of four typical Ahr wines. The
