This is the motto of our award-winning "We AHR open" campaign.
After the floods of 2021, many guests still believe that a visit to the Ahr Valley is not possible or that they will be labelled as disaster tourists. With this campaign, we want to communicate that we are open - to visitors, to new ideas and to the challenges that reconstruction brings for tourism.

"We AHR open" campaign wins the German Brand Award

The "We AHR open" campaign by Ahrtal-Tourismus has been honoured with the German Brand Award. The German marketing award with the widest reach became aware of the campaign in winter and nominated it at the beginning of the year.

The "We AHR open" campaign was honoured with the title "Winner" in the "Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation" category, which recognises the strongest campaigns, concepts and strategies in individual disciplines.


"We AHR open" campaign receives Rhineland-Palatinate Tourism Award

The "We AHR open" campaign has been honoured once again: The campaign won the "Project of the Year" award at the coveted Rhineland-Palatinate 2023 Tourism Prize.

The jury selected nine nominees from a total of 34 applications, including three lucky winners in the categories "Host of the Year", "Project of the Year" and "Innovation of the Year". The "We AHR open" campaign won over the jury with its motivating message "Not ready yet, but open and happy for your visit" to revitalise tourism after the flood disaster.

Various printed materials such as posters (including weatherproof A1 posters), stickers and postcards can be collected from the Tourist Information Centre in the Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler spa gardens.
