The 5-STAR vacation apartment (F*****) classified by the German Tourism Association (DTV) since the end of 2017, with a separate living room and bedroom, is located in a beautifully situated and uniquely quiet exclusive residential building in the district town of Ahrweiler, in close proximity to the Kalvarienberg Monastery, on a very quiet access road (cul-de-sac) that is used exclusively by the residents of approximately 15 single and two-family homes. It is about 500 meters from the city center (old town) with its quaint wine taverns and old half-timbered houses, which can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes (approximately 2 minutes by car to the large parking lot at Ahrtor, the start of the pedestrian zone in the old town). Access to the highway is also straightforward (about 5 minutes).
Together with the adjacent district of Bad Neuenahr (both towns merge seamlessly), the charming red wine, spa, and bathing town of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler offers endless opportunities for a variety of health and leisure activities, such as golf (18-hole course), tennis, gliding, hot air ballooning, archery, climbing parks, and much more. In particular, the densely wooded, picturesque surroundings with their more than 300 km of beautiful cycling and hiking paths meet all expectations for relaxation and well-being. The Ahrthermen (a beautiful, well-maintained wellness and bathing complex), the Kurhaus with the casino (including roulette, baccarat, blackjack), the large theater and concert hall, the spa park (live concerts), as well as the many spacious and well-kept parks (Kaiser-Wilhelm Park, Lenne Park with tennis facilities, Dahlia and Rose Garden, Augusta Park, etc.) and also an indoor pool and two outdoor pools (one outdoor pool is about a 4-minute walk from the apartment) contribute to this. The mineral and thermal springs of the health and bathing house, as well as the exceptionally large number of medical facilities ranging from general practitioners to numerous specialists and several specialized clinics, massage practices, physical therapists, and alternative practitioners complete the rich wellness offerings in the scenically beautiful health and fitness region of the Ahr Valley. These versatile offerings give the town of Bad Neuenahr–Ahrweiler an "international flair."
A very good transport connection via road (A 61) and rail to the metropolitan area "Cologne/Bonn" or "Koblenz/Frankfurt" (half-hour connections with the Ahrtalbahn; there are two train stops in Ahrweiler), as well as several bus lines and a "tourist train," connect the districts of Bad Neuenahr and Ahrweiler with the surrounding suburbs (a bus stop is about 150 meters from the house). Its international reputation, excellent health and infrastructure with a variety of spa, cultural, sports, and health facilities, and especially the varied and charming surroundings of the Ahr Valley with the well-complementing districts of Ahrweiler and Bad Neuenahr, as well as favorable transport connections, make the town and the local region one of the most popular and attractive places to live.
