General information

Some hiking routes include journeys on the Ahr Valley Railway. The journeys are at your own expense. The hiking guide will be happy to help you buy tickets. The journeys are free of charge for guest card holders. You are urgently requested to arrive punctually at the meeting point in order to be able to make the appropriate train connections.

Hiking is at your own risk. The event is not a walk, but a hike. A certain level of physical fitness is therefore required. Sturdy footwear is also absolutely essential! The hiking guide is authorised to exclude people from the hike if he/she deems them to be insufficiently equipped.

Hikes do not take place at temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius or below -10 degrees Celsius. The same applies in the event of heavy thunderstorms, storms or hail. Please note that the entire route cannot be walked in the shade! Sun protection for the skin, head and eyes is necessary depending on the weather conditions.

Changes to the route are possible and reserved for the hiking guide.
