Your winery in Altenahr

The roots of the Sermann family's winegrowing tradition go back to 1775, when Jakob Sermann from Barweiler married Margarete Linnarz from Altenahr - her family was already working in the vineyards. Since then, viticulture has been practised in the family for generations.</p

<p data-start="479" data-end="829">Today, the winery is one of the most renowned addresses on the Ahr. First awards in Gault Millau (from 2003 with one grape) and Eichelmann (one star) marked important milestones. In 2007, the winery was promoted to a two-grape operation, and in 2011 the third grape was added. Feinschmecker also regularly gives the estate very high marks.</p

<p data-start="831" data-end="1126">The focus is on classic grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Frühburgunder and Riesling. In particularly good years, elegant wines matured in barriques are produced from selected grapes. Sparkling wines produced using traditional bottle fermentation are also a particular speciality.</p

<p data-start="1128" data-end="1248">The estate bar offers the opportunity to enjoy the carefully produced wines in a relaxed atmosphere.
