In the heart of the picturesque wine village of Rech stands the old school, a building that looks back on an eventful history. Once the centre of school life, it was closed in 1972. It then served as a community centre before the flood of 2021 and was an important meeting place for the village community. Events, meetings and private celebrations took place here, which had a significant impact on social life in Rech.

The devastating flood disaster also severely damaged the old school. But new life is now emerging from the ruins: The building is currently being renovated and will once again serve as a central meeting place for the people of Rech. The forecourt of the Old School will also be of particular importance, as it will once again be used as a festival site for village and wine festivals in the future - a traditional meeting place that reflects the heart of the community.
