Predicate winery in Ahrweiler

An internationally renowned traditional winery that has stood for outstanding, terroir-emphasised Pinot Noir for over 500 years. The Adeneuer brothers cultivate diverse vineyards from Walporzheim to Heimersheim sustainably and with great attention to detail, with their purist, characterful wines impressively reflecting the unique terroir of the Ahr Valley.

The terroir and microclimate in which the vines have been growing for decades are extraordinarily diverse. The soils range from weathered slate to sandy loam loess soils and greywacke to volcanic rock. Sustainable and ecological cultivation of the vineyards is a top priority.

In order to produce wines with a strong character, time-consuming manual labour and meticulousness are required. Natural viticulture and the responsible use of natural resources demand attention to detail, great sensitivity and often a great deal of patience from employees.
