A treasure hunt with a dog
"A cold case for the SOKO
Furry Noses" - Crime tour with a dog
Although conveniently located on an attractive hiking trail, the Roman estate "An den Maaren" stands in the shadow of the well-known and popular Roman villa in Ahrweiler. Like the villa, it was built in the first century, repeatedly remodelled and used for iron production in the 4th/5th century. A circular route, lovingly designed with signs, provides access to the site. QR codes on the information boards bring the period back to life and provide interested visitors with all kinds of exciting details about life back then. Nevertheless, the remains of the walls almost threaten to become overgrown in humid summers and you often have the area all to yourself.
Some time ago, news circulated online that coins and perhaps other treasures from the beginning of Late Antiquity were still hidden on the estate. At that time, many estates in the Rhineland were often abandoned in a hurry for fear of the invading Germanic tribes. A coin has already been found there once - made of iron, the material value is not, but such ancient finds are highly sought after by collectors.
The rumours are piling up and the first improperly dug up areas and torn out bushes have already been seen.
The Rhineland-Palatinate Archaeological Institute is determined to investigate this and save the treasure for the public and archaeological research before it disappears forever into dubious hands. A team of experts is currently being put together - we are looking for ambitious sleuths and their puzzle enthusiasts.

A crime story with a dog from the series "Master Detective on 4 Paws"
You and your dog have just been promoted to SOKO Fellnasen and are very touched that your elderly godmother sends you congratulations. But she doesn't just want to congratulate you - she's also asking for your help. There was a dark event in her past that she has never quite let go of.
It was more than half a century ago when she got a job as a housekeeper at the Maibachtal estate. The estate no longer exists today, the buildings have been sold and now house a modern winery with organic cultivation. But a crime was committed there and your aunt was suspected of murder ......
After all this time, are you ready to finally clear your aunt of any suspicion and find out what really happened? Grab your dog, pack your treat bag and join us!
