Traditional Easter bonfire in the vineyards of Bad Neuenahr

On Easter Sunday, 5 April 2026, from 15:00, welcome to the 15th Neuenahr Easter bonfire - traditionally held in the sun-drenched vineyards above Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler (fire site "Neuenahrer Schiederlay", below the Hemmesener Hütte)

A highlight for the whole family: with a cosy atmosphere with live music, stick bread, craft activities in the bunny workshop and a big Easter egg hunt, children will get their money's worth. Regional delicacies, homemade cakes and freshly tapped Ahr wine are served directly at the Weinberg Hütte - ideal for savouring with a view of the valley. As dusk falls, the large Easter bonfire blazes to the beat of rousing drum rhythms - an atmospheric finale that powerfully welcomes spring. Admission is free. Please bring weatherproof clothing - flying sparks are possible. Come along and experience a lively, atmospheric Easter festival in the Ahr valley!
