Heimat-, Zunft- und Johannitermuseum Adenau

Built in 1667, once used as a nail forge and now as a museum, this building displays the history of the Adenauer guilds, including the leatherworkers' guild, the wool weavers' guild, and the hammer guild. Additionally, the history of the Order of St. John/Maltese Order is presented here.
In a half-timbered house that previously served as a workshop for a plumber, you will find lovingly crafted workshops as they had existed for centuries in the Eifel and other regions of the Rhineland.
The history of the Order of St. John/Maltese Order in Adenau (1162-1796) is described in detail and supported by original inventory books and a significant coin collection.
