Ecological winery in Walporzheim

 

The Bäcker winery is the first organic winery on the Ahr.

(Federal Association of Organic Viticulture). In the vineyard

organic plant protection. Soil-conserving cultivation and

protection of beneficial organisms are our top priority. In the cellar, the wines are processed gently

and treatment measures are avoided as far as possible.

The average annual yield is 12,000 to 14,000 litres. IThe vines include classic grape varieties such as Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Noir and Portugieser. The range is complemented by the rare Frühburgunder as well as Dornfelder, Weißburgunder and varieties such as Regent and Solaris.

 

The majority of the vineyards are located on the steep slopes of the Ahr Valley - this is where the highest quality wines are produced.
