in the district of Ahrweiler (Rhineland-Palatinate) is a late Romanesque church dating back to 1240.Between 1316 and 1960, the church was damaged several times - for example by fire, armed conflicts

for example by fire, armed conflicts or through

use-related decay - and rebuilt and restored again and again.

In 1961, the church was structurally extended.

The church impresses with its original stained glass windows from its time of origin - they are among the oldest stained glass windows in Germany. The octagonal, 33-metre-high crossing tower with a pyramid roof characterises the exterior appearance, which is structured by pilaster strips and round arch friezes. A closed ogival portal can be seen on the south side. The lintel is decorated with a circular relief in which a cross is incorporated. A capital with a depiction of an animal has also been preserved, which was probably reused from an older building.
