Your hotel & restaurant in Altenahr

Almost two years after the devastating flood disaster in July 2021, the traditional Hotel zur Post has successfully reorganised itself. The less affected, higher situated former guest house was extensively renovated and now forms the new Hotel zur Post - 3 stars superior. Since June 2023, it has once again been welcoming guests with modern comfort, warm hospitality and a fresh gastronomic concept.

The hotel offers 18 double rooms and one single room in various categories: from stylishly furnished rooms in the Post-Horn category, to spacious rooms with a balcony or terrace in the Post-Meister category, to the Post-Kutscher category with a cosy country house charm. On the ground floor, the new restaurant "Post-Stube" with around 45 seats invites you to enjoy regional, fresh cuisine in a stylish ambience.

 

A particular highlight is the small wellness oasis on the first floor. Guests will find a relaxation area with Physiotherm heated loungers, infrared cabins, massage chairs and fitness facilities - ideal for relaxing after an active day in the Ahr valley.
