What was originally created shortly after the flood as an interim solution has now established itself as a nationally recognised and popular wine hiking event. From 26 April to 25 May 2025, many different stands will once again be set up along the red wine hiking trail between Marienthal and Altenahr and catered by various wineries and restaurants. In addition to the offer on the 15-kilometre-long high trail, many businesses in the wine villages have also many establishments in the wine villages are now also open to visitors.
The decision as to which stands and businesses to visit and which wines to sample can be made individually.
