Varied programme with works by Bizet, Schubert & Gallardo del Rey
With flute, viola and guitar, the TrioConBrio ensemble creates a sound space that is as unusual as it is fascinating. Finely interwoven with chamber music and full of energy, the three musicians perform in the foyer of the Rheinhalle for the finale of the 2025/2026 season.
The "smallest orchestra in the world" draws an elegant arc from classical masterpieces to contemporary works composed especially for the trio. Excerpts from Mozart's "Magic Flute" in an arrangement by Antoine de L'Hoyer and Schubert's lyrical "Shepherd on the Rock" stand alongside fiery dances from Bizet's "Carmen". The second part of the evening will feature contemporary works written especially for TrioConBrio by José Maria Gallardo del Rey, Gerd Baumann, Ray Sandoval and Chris Dumigan.
Since it was founded by guitarist Andrea Förderreuther, the trio with flautist Christina Singer and violist Lydia Bach has been delighting audiences with original programmes. Together, the three artists will perform a concert that builds bridges between times, styles and continents and will impressively showcase the acoustic possibilities of this extraordinary line-up.
